NADIA ALI

Nadia, born to an Arab father and Moroccan mother was raised between 2 worlds. Her father being a founder of a rising tech company meant her upbringing was equally western and traditionally Muslim.

Those few years as an only child were filled with alot of travelling and adventure, but when her younger brother Kazeem was born, the family made a permanent move to the UK..

After a few years living among extended family in West Yorkshire, the Ali family moved to Silvermere in Cheshire - which to Nadia and Kazeem felt like their first stable home.

Life for Nadia in Silvermere seemed to be running smoothly... to begin with. However, she quickly became an outcast when she discovered that the school, its teachers and its board of governors were involved in a nefarious mind control plot being carried out by a far reaching Satanic cult. Even the students were involved, with the exception of Nadia, her brother and 2 others; Tough guy Jake and the sweet and spiritual Bridget. The four became inseparable, and called themselves "The Ruffians".

Nadia served as second in command to the groups leader, Jake. However, the quick witted and sharp tongued Nadia often believed she should be the leader instead.

Despite being outwardly confident, funny and silver tongued - Nadia has been struggling with her weight due to self-esteem issues. And the cause of those issues comes back into her life in the form of a boy called Hugo Pennington, who - along with the cult - is about to cause alot of trouble in Silvermere for Nadia and the Ruffians.
